Business Analyst.

FULL TIME

He aha te tūranga - About the role:

10-month fixed term contract based in Auckland (Mt Wellington) starting January 2027

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support one of our most important transformation initiatives: the implementation of a new Fundraising CRM platform. This is much more than a technology project. It's an opportunity to help transform how we engage with supporters, strengthen fundraising capability, and enable better experiences for our donors.

Working as part of our Portfolio Delivery team and closely with our passionate and highly engaged Fundraising team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping future ways of working by identifying business needs, analysing current processes, defining requirements, and supporting the successful implementation of a modern CRM solution.

As Business Analyst, you'll act as the bridge between the business and delivery teams, helping ensure that decisions are informed, requirements are clearly defined, and the solution delivers meaningful business outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading business analysis activities to support the implementation of a new Fundraising CRM platform.
  •
  • Engaging with stakeholders across Fundraising, Technology and other business areas to understand needs and priorities.
  •
  • Facilitating workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to gather, document and validate business requirements.
  •
  • Analysing current-state processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and user experience.
  •
  • Developing future-state process maps, business requirements, user stories and functional specifications.
  •
  • Supporting data migration, integration and reporting requirements definition.
  •
  • Working closely with vendors, implementation partners and technical teams to ensure business requirements are understood and delivered.
  •
  • Supporting testing activities, including user acceptance testing, business validation and issue resolution.
  •
  • Contributing to change and readiness activities to support successful adoption of new processes and technology.

Ko wai koe - About you:

This role will suit someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving business problems, and is passionate about working with stakeholders to design practical solutions that deliver real value.

You will bring:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst on complex business and technology initiatives.
  •
  •  A talent for building relationships and working effectively across business and technology teams.
  •
  • Strong requirements gathering, analysis and process improvement skills.
  •
  • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders to understand needs and define solutions.
  •
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  •
  • Experience supporting system implementation, testing and change activities.
  •
  • Exposure to CRM, fundraising or customer-focused platforms would be advantageous.
