In this role, you will contribute to our Global Product Support Team for our global Grid Components portfolio, and contribute to our future reliable and sustainable power grid. Your technical expertise will be crucial in elaborating innovative product solutions, ensuring they adhere to industry standards, design rules, and internal processes. You will also play a central role in maintaining the quality of suppliers and parts, collaborating closely with various departments within Hitachi Energy, including R&D Centers, Product Management, Quality, Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Sales. How you’ll make an impact Elaborate innovative product solutions following standards, design rules, guidelines, and internal processes Lead and/or contribute to R&D and GPS projects, including process implementation and continuous process improvement initiatives Collaborate with global R&D and GPS teams, as well as Product Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality and Operations in a global matrix organization Support the investigation and resolution of technical and quality-related issues Perform internal factory audits worldwide Ensure the quality of suppliers, production locations, and components Create, maintain, and release technical documentation, including schematic designs, calculations, drawings, parts lists, configurators, and work instructions Maintain product master data in PLM (Windchill) and ERP (SAP) systems Support change management activities throughout the product lifecycle Your background Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related, with first experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders Proficiency in CAD (Creo, AutoCAD), PLM (Windchill), and/or SAP systems Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
