Your Responsibilities Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage substations and primary electrical systems, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with customer specifications. Prepare and review engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, grounding designs, and technical specifications. Perform technical assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering calculations to support project execution. Collaborate with project managers, customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project objectives. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers. Support equipment selection, procurement activities, and technical bid evaluations. Identify engineering risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Hitachi Energy quality processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, innovation, and engineering best practices. Your Background Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 7 years' experience in primary engineering within transmission, distribution, or utility-scale power projects. Strong knowledge of high-voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, busbar arrangements, grounding systems, and electrical plant design. Experience delivering engineering solutions for EPC, utility, renewable energy, or industrial projects. Proficiency with engineering design tools and software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley applications, or equivalent. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced project environment.
