Group/Division The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. What You'll Do In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team for the summer. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced software engineers to design, develop, test, and support software solutions that contribute to advanced semiconductor process control and inspection systems. This internship provides hands-on experience with real-world projects, modern development tools, and cross-functional collaboration Responsibilities Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software applications and features. Develop and execute unit tests, automation scripts, and validation procedures. Analyze software defects, troubleshoot issues, and assist in implementing solutions. Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and quality engineers to achieve project objectives. Utilize software development tools, source control systems, and CI/CD workflows. Document software designs, test results, and technical findings. Present project progress and results to engineering teams and management. Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with one or more programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, Java, or JavaScript. Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI-assisted development tools. Exposure to AI/ML, computer vision, image processing, or data analytics. Familiarity with object-oriented design, source control, and software testing.
