Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and providing a friendly, professional first point of contact
- Managing the appointment book, including scheduling, confirming and following up appointments
- Answering phones and handling patient enquiries confidently
- Processing payments, billing and HICAPS claims
- Managing day-to-day reception administration
- Keeping reception organised and running smoothly
- Communicating clearly with patients, dentists and the wider practice team
- Confidently managing reception when the Practice Manager is unavailable
- Supporting sterilisation and infection control when required following structured training
- Working closely with the clinical team to help maintain an efficient practice flow
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Have previous experience in dental reception and/or assisting
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (advantageous but not essential)
- Be confident supporting patients and working closely with the clinical team
- Bring a reliable, trustworthy and team-focused approach to your work
- Have experience with dental practice software such as D4W (advantageous but not essential)
- Have a genuine interest in providing a great patient experience
