Job Description:
We are seeking a HCPC registered and experienced Locum Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to oversee the inpatient stroke pathway at Calderdale Royal Hospital. The role involves leading and developing the speech and language therapy team within the acute stroke service, managing a complex caseload, and ensuring high standards of care and clinical practice. You will collaborate closely with the stroke multidisciplinary team (MDT) and maintain strong links with the speech and language therapy team. You will perform specialist assessments, implement and evaluate care plans, and develop evidence-based protocols. Leading the team, you will provide supervision, support, and training, while also contributing to service development, clinical audits, and MDT meetings. Your role includes managing clinical standards, participating in recruitment, and ensuring high-quality patient care within the budgetary constraints of the Trust.
