About the Role
We are looking for an MEP Manager to join our MEP team on our project in Ashburn, VA. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all mechanical and electrical construction activities for Mission Critical facilities and related projects.
- Oversee Mechanical and Electrical Trade contractors and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate schedules, budgets, reports, and documentation for mechanical and electrical systems from pre-construction through close-out.
- Develop project scopes and schedules, coordinate change orders and RFIs, and manage project budgets and cost control.
- Monitor installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of the project with the Engineer and Owner.
- Lead the HCC MEP Team and Trade Partners from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to the Owner.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5–10 years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems.
- Extensive experience managing construction of data centers and complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects.
- Experience developing project scopes and schedules, coordinating change orders and RFIs, and managing project budgets and cost control.
- Strong ability to manage relationships with owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, and clients, while supervising subcontractors and vendors.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
- Experience leading teams through all phases of construction projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
