WovenX Health

Chicago, IL

Director of Operations.

FULL TIMELEADERSHIPPEOPLE & OPS$150K–170K/YR

About the role

We're looking for a Director of Operations to lead the operational infrastructure behind WovenX's national clinical network. You'll oversee the business operations behind our clinical platform that connects virtual care with physician practices, endoscopy centers, and health systems across 50 states + DC. Working closely with Clinical, Product, Engineering, and Growth, you are responsible for improving the workflows, analytics, processes, and systems that allow high-quality specialty care to scale in real-time.

What you'll own

  • Build scalable operational processes that connect virtual care with brick-and-mortar physician practices and health system partners. This includes but is not limited to building tools, applications, and complex constraint models that are able to account for a number of variables: reporting, operational, analytical, legal, clinical, and staffing
  • Lead day-to-day operations for WovenX's virtual care and clinical navigation programs, which include primary responsibility for our virtual visit infrastructure and real-time staffing across sites, states, and clinicians. Think of this as the lead of driver engagement and markets at Lyft or Uber - the product manager and director of our WovenX care delivery systems
  • Build dashboards, KPIs, and reporting that drive operational decision-making and tooling.
  • Define processes that support our clinical team onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and operational readiness for day-to-day and new market launches.
  • Monitor clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and operational performance jointly with our clinical team.

What you'll bring

  • A desire to drive our team and business forward and have a meaningful impact. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, an appetite for startup culture, and excitement about transforming how healthcare works.
  • Experience working with a distributed network of advanced practice providers and / or physicians.
  • Experience launching new markets, standing up complex operations, and scaling care delivery. Ideally looking for experience across multiple states’ and legislative settings in healthcare.
  • A strong operational mindset with the ability to build processes, measure performance, and continuously improve quality.
  • Comfort partnering with Product and Engineering to translate clinical workflows and operational reporting into scalable technology.
  • Ideally looking for candidates who have built internal applications and analytics tools, or directly managed data and performance tracking. Experience using workflow automation, AI-enabled tools, and operational data to improve clinical quality, efficiency, and provider experience.
  •  Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills across clinical, operational, and commercial teams.
  • A builder's mentality - you enjoy creating systems that scale rather than maintaining legacy processes, with demonstrated success creating operational systems.

Your skills and credentials

  •  5+ years of experience leading operations in healthcare, virtual care, or a high-growth healthcare services organization. Ideally looking for someone who has worked in healthcare operations at an AI-led or big tech company.
  • Masters in Operations, Statistics, Analytics, Business Administration, or similar field is a plus but not required (we are most focused on your real experience building in operations and clinical environments)
  • Product managers (technical or core PM), former consultants, and operational leads with analytical and P&L responsibility most welcome.
  • Past startup experience preferred.
  • Comfort with analytical or technical platforms, enough to build models in excel, python, AWS, SQL, or similar platforms and structures that enable you to track performance, interpret data, and launch tooling and systems together with our engineering team.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Comfort with AI tools and workflows.

Why WovenX

This is an opportunity to help build one of the country's leading specialty care networks. You'll have meaningful ownership, work alongside experienced clinical and technology leaders, and help shape the operational platform that connects virtual care with specialty practices at national scale. We believe human-centered and AI-driven care is one of the core ways we make specialty healthcare more accessible.

Our team is looking for the brightest minds in healthcare tech who are committed to building something big and meaningful.

WovenX Health is an equal opportunity employer.

Compensation, Perks, Benefits, Logistics

  • Total Compensation: $150,000 - 170,000 base salary range + employee equity package
  • Comprehensive Care: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage packages.
  • Support Frameworks: 401(k) plan option, flexible Paid Time Off (PTO), and a hybrid work environment connected with Chicago’s best Healthcare co-working space.
  • Location: this is a hybrid role. Our ideal candidate is located (or willing to relocate) to Chicago, IL and will be in office flexibly with our Chicago team ~3 days / week. For exceptional candidates, we will consider a remote application. Collaboration, dependability, and engagement are a core part of our distributed and hybrid work environments.

At this time, WovenX is unable to provide visa sponsorship. All Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needs.
