Overall Purpose
The Sales Representative drives revenue growth by generating leads, performing on-site property evaluations, and converting estimates into booked work. This role is the face of Keystone Arborist for homeowners, property managers, and commercial customers, and plays a direct part in keeping our crews busy, our customers satisfied, and our reputation strong across Central Pennsylvania.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Sales & Business Development
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and local outreach
- Meet with residential and commercial clients to assess tree removal needs
- Prepare and present estimates for tree cutting, trimming, and removal services
- Close sales and maintain strong client relationships
Site Evaluation & Estimating
- Inspect properties to evaluate tree condition, risk, and accessibility
- Identify hazards (power lines, structures, terrain, etc.)
- Accurately define scope of work and pricing
- Coordinate scheduling with operations and clients
Project Coordination & Customer Experience
- Serve as the main point of contact from estimate through job completion
- Ensure clear communication between client and crew
- Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle change orders, concerns, or adjustments professionally
- Follow up for reviews, referrals, and repeat business
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 1+ year of sales or estimating experience (tree care, landscaping, or home services preferred)
- Working knowledge of tree care, or willingness to learn and pursue ISA certification
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Self-motivated and organized, able to manage a territory and schedule independently
- Comfort with CRM and estimating software, smartphones, and basic office tools
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to walk properties in all weather conditions
