Position Overview:
The Technology Lead - Networking, is the architecture authority for Arctiq's networking practice. This role owns the design standards, reference architectures, and technology strategy that define how Arctiq delivers networking solutions across its managed services portfolio. The Tech Lead works closely with Solution Architects on complex customer engagements, leads the networking technology roadmap, and ensures the delivery team operates against a consistent, modern, and defensible design standard. This is a forward-facing, design-focused role — the value delivered is in the quality and repeatability of architecture, not in being an operational seat.
Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design Standards
- Own and maintain networking reference architectures, design standards, and approved configurations across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, wireless, and cloud networking.
- Lead architecture reviews for complex customer solutions, ensuring quality, scalability, and delivery readiness.
- Establish consistent design governance, documentation, and exception management across the practice.
Technology Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and drive the networking technology roadmap, including vendor evaluations, platform selection, and strategic investments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including SASE, SD-WAN, and AI-driven network management.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing services and introduce new networking capabilities.
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement
- Provide technical leadership for complex and strategic customer engagements.
- Partner with Solution Architects to validate solution designs, support proposals, and lead technical workshops.
- Represent Arctiq's networking expertise in executive customer discussions, QBRs, and technology planning.
Automation & Innovation
- Drive network automation across provisioning, configuration management, and performance monitoring.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and accelerate issue resolution.
- Collaborate across networking, cloud, and security practices to standardize automation.
Technical Governance & Mentorship
- Represent networking architecture in Services Governance discussions.
- Maintain architecture documentation, reusable design templates, and technical standards.
- Mentor engineers, strengthen technical capabilities, and promote consistent design practices.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of enterprise networking experience, including 3+ years in architecture or solution design.
- Proven experience designing complex, multi-site, multi-vendor, and hybrid cloud networks.
- Expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless, and SASE technologies.
- Strong knowledge of leading platforms, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Aruba, and Meraki.
- Experience with AWS/Azure networking, network automation (Ansible, Python), and AI-driven monitoring tools.
- Strong technical documentation, stakeholder communication, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in managed services, professional services, or consulting preferred.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCIE or equivalent expert-level networking certification.
- CCNP Enterprise, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Fortinet NSE 7/8.
- AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer certification is an asset.
