Company Description:

Alliance Construction and Design is a leading construction firm specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. We leverage our four core values of Upholding Reputation, Never Quit, Forward Thinking, and Team First to deliver high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to join our team.

Position Summary:

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Carpenters to work alongside our current crew of carpenters and laborers to help grow the company. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, contributing your expertise to ensure projects get completed on time and on budget while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in either pre-engineered metal buildings, steel or wood stud framing, siding, and finish carpentry with an understanding of other components of a project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow the lead of your foreman and perform construction tasks including framing, siding, cabinetry, doors, windows, and trim work according to project needs.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power equipment.
  • Install structures and fixtures securely, ensuring they meet building codes and safety standards.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the construction process to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations, standards including accuracy, quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members including subcontractors, vendors, and site superintendents to coordinate work and meet project deadlines.
  • Lead and assist laborers. Step in and fill the foreman role on a short-term basis if the foreman is absent, ensuring continuity and proper workflow on the jobsite.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to ensure work is completed according to project specifications.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; preference will be given to candidates with additional vocational training or certification in carpentry or construction management.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the construction industry, particularly at a construction company.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety practices particularly in steel and wood stud settings with strong attention to detail.
  • An understanding of blueprints, drawings, and construction documents.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment up to 100 pounds.
  • Agility to climb ladders and navigate construction sites.
  • Stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • OSHA10 and lift certifications; OSHA30 within 30 days of hire.
