The Concord Group (TCG) advises developers, investors, public agencies, and other decision-makers to understand markets, evaluate opportunities, and make better development and investment decisions.
We are building the next generation of TCG Consultants. We seek exceptional upcoming and recent college graduates with a record of academic achievement, initiative, and intellectual curiosity.
Our Consultants ask the right questions, determine what matters, exercise judgment, and communicate a clear point of view. We are using proprietary tools, new data capabilities, and AI to streamline research and give our teams more time to interpret information, solve problems, and advise clients.
Why TCG
You will work in small teams alongside senior TCG professionals, with early exposure to developers, investors, and other real estate decision-makers. Your analysis will help shape real projects: what to build, who to serve, how to position it, and what the market can support.
Assignments span markets nationally and property types including multifamily housing, mixed-use development, for-sale residential, retail, hospitality, and master-planned communities. You will build a broad perspective on how developers and investors make decisions and see how your recommendations inform those decisions.
Working closely with experienced advisors gives you direct exposure to how they frame problems, test assumptions, and communicate with clients when the answer is uncertain. For ambitious graduates, TCG offers meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to develop an analytical voice early in your career.
What You Will Do
· Analyze market, demographic, economic, and competitive data to understand development opportunities.
· Identify the story behind the data and help formulate recommendations on demand, positioning, rents, pricing, and absorption.
· Translate findings into clear exhibits, presentations, memoranda, and market studies.
· Use Excel, data platforms, mapping tools, and AI to improve efficiency and analytical quality; check sources and results.
· Conduct market research, including site visits and interviews with brokers, developers, and property managers.
· Participate in project discussions and client meetings, working with senior advisors to solve questions with no obvious answer.
Requirements
We are selective about the people we bring into our Consultant team. We value how you think more than a particular major.
A strong academic record, rigorous coursework, and evidence of achievement inside or outside the classroom matter.
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability, with strong quantitative skills and comfort working with data.
· The ability to synthesize substantial information and move from analysis to interpretation and recommendation.
· Clear, concise writing and confident verbal communication; an interest in storytelling and client service.
· Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to test assumptions and revise a view when the evidence changes.
· Initiative, resourcefulness, organization, and ownership of the quality and timeliness of your work.
· An interest in real estate, development, cities, economics, consumer behavior, or related fields.
Relevant internships in real estate, consulting, finance, economics, planning, or analytics are helpful but not required. Leadership, independent projects, research, and other accomplishments can also demonstrate the qualities we seek.
Interesting and Interested
Our best Consultants are both interesting and interested. We value people with interests beyond their résumé and a habit of asking the next question. Why does one apartment project command higher rents? What makes a neighborhood work for retail? Why are people choosing one city over another?
That curiosity extends to the client: understanding what they are trying to accomplish, which decisions matter, and how our work can help. You should enjoy forming a point of view, explaining your reasoning, and changing your mind when warranted. Interests in business, design, culture, politics, or entirely different subjects can bring useful perspective to the work.
Benefits
Growth comes through increasing responsibility and demonstrated judgment. Successful Consultants progress to leading substantial portions of engagements, presenting findings to clients, guiding other team members, and building client relationships. Working closely with senior professionals provides ongoing opportunities for feedback and development.
