We are looking for a commercially drivenย Business Manager โ Revenue & Retentionย to take end-to-end ownership of a consumer business unit, with direct responsibility forย revenue, retention, monetization, and customer lifecycle growth.
The role is suited for a highly analytical and execution-oriented professional who can operate like a mini business ownerโtranslating business targets into growth plans, making data-driven decisions, launching experiments, and driving measurable improvements in revenue and customer retention.
Requirements
The Role
Marketing brings users in. You own revenue and retention from the first session onward, and you carry the number.
- Review the P&L daily: deposits, subscriptions, discount spend, payouts, contribution margin. Act on anything unusual within 24 hours
- Turn monthly targets into weekly plans, and run the weekly cross-functional review with Product, Marketing, Data and Content
- Own the lifecycle: activation โ first recharge โ repeat โ renewal โ win-back
- Build personalized journeys in-app, push, WhatsApp and SMS, in English and Indian languages, triggered by each user's chart, transits and MyLife phases
- Own pricing, offers and paywalls, and test changes against holdout groups
- Track retention, repeat rate, ARPPU and cohort LTV, and share LTV:CAC with the Senior Manager, Marketing
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years as the named owner of a revenue or retention number in a B2C app
- Reads a P&L fluently: contribution margin, LTV, payback
- Hands-on with MoEngage, CleverTap or WebEngage: you build the segments, triggers and journeys yourself
- Strong SQL; builds your own dashboards in Metabase or similar
- Has run controlled experiments and can show what caused a lift
- Gets Product and Data to ship your priorities without authority over them
- Builds AI agentic workflows to ship faster
Good to Have
- Wallet or subscription monetization, including auto-pay renewals
- Bharat/T2-T3 and vernacular users, and 0-1 startup experience
