Key Responsibilities:
As a Broking Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our brokerage team and ensuring smooth operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the placement of risks with insurers and reinsurers
- Prepare and issue of Cover Notes, Slips and related documentation
- Liaise with Cedants, Reinsurers and internal departments
- Maintain accurate records and follow up on outstanding documentation
- Uphold the strictest confidentiality regarding all client, placement, and company proprietary information.
- Actively develop your understanding of key (re)insurance terminology, market practices, and placement structures to enhance your effectiveness in the role.
Requirements
Profile of Candidate:
- Degree Holder in Management, International Business, Communication, Finance, or any related field.
- 1 to 2 years working experience in a similar position
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using claims management systems and MS Office Suite
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency in English and French (both verbal and written)
