Beam

London

VP of Product.

FULL TIMEREMOTELEADERSHIPPRODUCT£165K–200K/YR

At Beam, we’re building AI that serves society.

We're a global team of ambitious, hardworking problem solvers, applying fast-moving startup energy to work that makes the world a better place. If you want to apply your talent to the biggest problems society faces, Beam is the place for you.

You’ll be part of a high-performance culture where you'll make a huge impact, rapidly progress your career, and truly enjoy your work.

Over 100,000 frontline workers already use Beam to take notes, provide live interpretation and handle phone calls, so they can focus on the people who need them most. This is just the beginning.

At Beam, we build AI products that help frontline teams deliver better support. We’re looking for a VP of Product to lead product and design, shape our suite, and deliver exceptional products quickly.

You’ll report to Beam’s co-founder and work closely together on product strategy, priorities, and key product decisions. You’ll work in close partnership, bringing your own judgment, challenging constructively and taking accountability for running the function and delivering the agreed strategy.

You’ll lead five Senior Product Managers today, with significant team growth ahead, and have design within your remit. This is an opportunity to build the team and operating discipline behind Beam’s next stage of growth.

We’re looking for an exceptional operator with strong product judgment and commercial instincts. All our products are AI native: practical AI fluency and enthusiasm for its possibilities are essential.

You will:

  • Set direction and protect focus - Shape strategy, translate it into clear priorities and allocate effort across products with engineering. Make trade-offs explicit, resolve competing demands and stop work when the evidence changes.

  • Run a tight product function - Establish clear owners, delivery dates and effective planning and reviews. Track commitments, surface risks early and remove blockers. Give teams agency while making progress and decisions visible across Beam.

  • Set and manage targets - Set ambitious goals for delivery, adoption, customer value and commercial impact. Review performance regularly and act when results fall short. Stay accountable for outcomes after launch.

  • Be in the field - Spend time with users and customers, observing real workflows and getting feedback firsthand. Build customer obsession across the team, combining direct insight with data to test assumptions and improve products.

  • Drive commercial results - Partner with sales and customer success on winning customers, adoption, renewal, and expansion. Contribute to pricing, understand running costs, and balance customer requests with products that can scale across many customers.

  • Deliver quality at pace - Build clear acceptance criteria, rigorous QA, AI evaluations and monitoring into delivery. Enable fast, controlled experiments and dependable releases, with appropriate human oversight, security and privacy.

  • Build an outstanding team - Hire, coach and develop strong product and design talent. Set high standards, address underperformance swiftly, and build effective partnerships with engineering. Scale the team while keeping ownership and decisions clear.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has scaled complex products across markets - You have a proven track record at a highly rated, VC-backed company, scaling complex or enterprise products across multiple markets. You combine strategic judgment with meticulous execution, credible commitments and measurable results.

  • Is obsessed with building high-performance teams - You’ve hired and developed excellent people, raised performance and know when to delegate or get into the detail. You build teams that deliver huge customer value at a pace that can feel uncomfortable.

  • Thrives alongside an involved founder - You communicate clearly, challenge with evidence and turn shared decisions into decisive action.

  • Combines customer obsession with commercial judgment - You understand what makes products useful, adoptable and commercially successful, and care deeply about craft and reliability.

  • Has practical AI fluency - You actively use AI tools and can work with engineers on model limitations, evaluation and trade-offs between accuracy, speed and cost.

  • Mission first - You want to improve essential services and understand the responsibility of building for frontline teams.

Nice to have:

  • A technical background or practical experience with coding, prototyping, data or AI systems.

If this sounds like the work you want to do, we’d love to hear from you.
