Partner Operations Manager.

FULL TIMEPEOPLE & OPS

As Partner Operations Manager you will support the Partner Commercial Lead ensuring Version 1 meets and advances its tier and compliance obligations across Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, and Anthropic (and other partnerships as we scale). You will lead a back-office team responsible for the operational infrastructure underpinning our partner programmes - tracking certifications, managing partner portals, monitoring consumption and funding, and ensuring timely reporting to both internal stakeholders and partner organisations. You will work closely with the partner operations team who manage the day-to-day strategic relationships, providing the operational rigour that enables those relationships to deliver commercially. You will support across the Partner Hub, Sales, Marketing, and Delivery to ensure partner requirements are understood and met across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of partner programme requirements across Microsoft (Solutions Partner/CSP), AWS (Partner Network tiers), Oracle (OPN), and Anthropic (Claude Partner Network), and ensure Version 1 meets all tier thresholds and compliance obligations.
  • Support the partner commercial leads in building strong operational relationships with key partner stakeholders across Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, and Anthropic, ensuring Version 1 is visible and well-positioned within each partner ecosystem.
  • Increase awareness within Version 1 of the requirements and benefits of working collaboratively with our strategic partners, acting as the internal subject matter expert on partner programme mechanics.
  • Manage partner funding programmes throughout their entire lifecycle, acting as the primary liaison between vendors, partner hubs, and commercial sellers. Accountable for maintaining a funding automation solution and ensuring all submissions are progressed through to funding drawdown.
  • Work closely with Parter Managers and Presales to identify and capitalise on key partner-involved deals early in the pipeline, and support collaboration with Commercial to optimise partner involvement in major opportunities.
  • Own the development and maintenance of a Partner Performance Dashboard; closely monitor consumption and rebate revenue across all partner programmes, communicating performance issues and corrective actions to Hub Leads.
  • Identify partner accreditation and certification opportunities that underpin and endorse our offerings.
  • Maintain a consolidated schedule of accreditation and certification audits across all four partners and communicate requirements and deadlines to the relevant partner managers and the Partner Commercial Lead.
  • Be accountable for the successful execution of partner accreditation and certification audits.
  • Own day-to-day operation of all partner portals: Microsoft Partner Center, AWS Partner Central, Oracle Partner Network portal, and Anthropic's partner management platform. Responsible for pipeline updating, opportunity registration, and ensuring Version 1's profile and credentials are current across each.
  • Monitor and analyse partner performance across all programmes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support partner-based marketing activities across all four partner ecosystems.
  • Ensure that partner marketplaces (Azure Marketplace, AWS Marketplace, Oracle Cloud Marketplace) are refreshed regularly with Version 1 offerings.
  • Assist with the formulation of win-wires and partner award submissions across all partner programmes.
  • Deliver data-driven insights on training, accreditation, certification, and competency requirements across all partner programmes, ensuring Version 1's investment in credentials directly enhances our partnership tier status and commercial position.
  • Serve as a central source of partner programme information across the business - ensuring compliance, maintaining consistency, and implementing corrective measures as necessary, while overseeing monthly and quarterly reporting to track progress against partner objectives.
  • Mentor, train, and develop back-office team members for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes.
  • Act as the operational interface between the Partner Commercial Lead and the partner managers, translating strategic priorities into actionable compliance, certification, and reporting tasks with clear ownership and deadlines.
  • 7+ years of Experience in the technology industry, ideally within a partner, alliances, or vendor management function.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful partner programmes and managing partner operations requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and with partner organisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse partner performance data and identify trends and risks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple partner workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, compliance schedules, and stakeholder requirements simultaneously.
  • Experience managing and developing operational teams, including performance management, mentoring, and workload prioritisation.
