We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our New World Foods site (part of Kepak Group) in York.
The Production Operative is responsible for carrying out production and/or hygiene activities in line with the daily production plan or hygiene schedule. The role ensures tasks are completed safely, accurately and in line with food safety, quality, hygiene and health & safety standards. The Production Operative plays an active part in maintaining product quality, line efficiency and a safe working environment, escalating issues promptly to the Team Leader.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reporting to the Production Manager
SHIFTS: Morning shift - 06:00-14:00, Afternoon shift - 14:00-22:00 (rotating every 2 weeks)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operate production machinery safely
- Follow established procedures

- Assist with line set-up

Requirements
- Experience in a food manufacturing, hygiene or production environment
- Awareness of food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements
- Ability to follow procedures, instructions and standard ways of working
- Good attention to detail and record‑keeping accuracy
- Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and participate in training
