About the Role
Our membership platform, Hammer Elite, serves tens of thousands of paying members across multiple tiers and runs a daily content engine of exclusive shows, bonus content, and community programming. Hammer Media is hiring a Video Editor to help with post-production across our membership content.
What You’ll Do:
Edit and Deliver High-Quality Episodes:
- Edit long-form YouTube content across multiple shows
- Shape pacing, structure, and storytelling to maximize viewer retention
- Integrate b-roll, music, graphics, and motion elements to elevate the final product
- Deliver polished final cuts that meet Hammer Media’s quality standards
Optimize Post-Production + Packaging:
- Build and maintain organized workflows, templates, and editing guidelines for speed and repeatability
- Ensure proper file management, version control, and asset organization
- Create thumbnails and titles with a testing mindset, continuously optimizing for the highest engagement
- Analyze video performance metrics like CTR, retention, and watch time
- Use insights to refine editing style and improve future videos
Requirements
- 2+ years of video editing experience, ideally with YouTube-first content
- Strong long-form YouTube editing instincts: storytelling, pacing, structure, and retention
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop
- Expertise in color grading, audio cleanup, and export/deliverables for YouTube
- Experience managing or mentoring other editors
- Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-moving production environment
