We partner closely with the business on growth and operational excellence initiatives, building customer trust through clear standards, data-driven improvements, and food safety programmes that actually hold up on the ground.</p> <p>We’re looking for an Associate Manager, Food Safety to help us build and run these programmes across our European markets. You’ll work closely with operations, legal, policy, and frontline teams to protect our customers and partners, and to keep our sites compliant as we grow. Expect regular travel across our European locations.</p> <h2>What you’ll be doing</h2> <p>This is a hands-on role that blends policy work with real, on-the-ground problem-solving. You’ll partner with country and area leaders, support external audits, and help translate global food safety standards into steps that actually work locally.</p> <p>Day-to-day in this role you’ll:</p> <ul> <li>Partner with country and area leaders to manage food safety compliance and find pragmatic solutions to emerging risks.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Support our external audit programme, coordinating schedules with third-party auditors and local food authorities.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Help develop and maintain our global food safety policies, procedures, and HACCP plans, translating them into concrete steps at country level.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Handle food safety issues, enquiries, and product recalls, guiding country and site teams through execution and customer communication.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Work with Legal and Policy to keep us ahead of food safety regulations across our European markets.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Track compliance metrics and use the data to spot trends and drive improvements</li> </ul> <h2>Our humble expectations* </h2> <p>Formal food safety qualification (e.g. Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health), or equivalent hands-on experience.</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of progressive food safety or regulatory compliance experience in hospitality, retail, quick commerce, or manufacturing.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards such as FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, IFS, or BRC.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proven experience managing food safety programmes across multi-country, multi-unit operations, with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.</li> <li>Proven track record conducting internal/external audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses, with the ability to drive follow-up actions that deliver real compliance improvement.</li> <li>Experience implementing policies and procedures in response to new business initiatives or evolving risk environments.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Fluent in English, given the multi-country scope of this role.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Willingness and ability to travel regularly across our European markets.</li> </ul> <h2>What we offer</h2> <ul> <li>The chance to build and shape food safety practices across a fast-growing set of European markets, with real ownership over how you get there.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>A seat on a collaborative, supportive global team genuinely invested in your growth as a leader.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Cross-functional exposure — you’ll work directly with legal, policy, ops, and country teams, not from behind a desk.</li> </ul> <h2>Next steps*</h2> <p>Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
