Sophie’s Flats is a design and build company based in Ontario, Canada. We specialize in backyard homes known as ADUs — fully independent living spaces constructed on residential properties. We guide clients through every phase of their project, from design and permitting to construction. Behind every successful build is a well-organized team, and the project coordinator plays a central role in that success.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to help manage timelines, documentation, and communication across multiple residential projects. You will support the operations team by

• Organizing project schedules, tasks, and deliverables

• Tracking progress from design through construction

• Maintaining digital records, permits, and contracts

• Coordinating with designers, trades, consultants, and municipalities

• Following up on outstanding tasks and keeping teams accountable

• Preparing and sharing project updates with internal teams and clients

This is a key role for someone who enjoys structure, problem solving, and cross-functional teamwork.

We are looking for candidates who

• Have experience in project coordination, construction admin, or operations

• Are highly organized and detail oriented

• Communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders

• Are confident using project tracking tools, spreadsheets, and shared files

• Understand construction timelines and residential permitting processes

• Are proactive and solution focused with a strong sense of ownership

Familiarity with ADUs or residential building is a strong asset but not required.
