- Coordinate and support scheduled waste collections across site, working closely with contractors and internal departments
- Carry out internal waste audits, weekly waste ticket reviews and waste sampling, helping to drive continuous improvement in waste segregation and minimisation
- Support environmental monitoring activities, including borehole dip readings, quarterly residue sampling
- Assist with the weekly environmental audit checker and support wider EHS audits and site inspections
- Help prepare monthly KPI reports and maintain accurate environmental records
- Support the investigation and response to noise, odour and dust complaints from the public and regulators
- Provide general administrative support to the EHS team, along with other ad-hoc duties as required
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related technical/scientific discipline (candidates from other disciplines with a genuine interest in environmental compliance and waste management will also be considered)
- No prior work experience required - full training will be provided
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Well organised, with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills, comfortable liaising with contractors, regulators and members of the public
- A full UK driving licence is beneficial
