We're looking for a talented Developer to join our growing team in Makati City, Philippines. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and business analysts in a collaborative, agile environment where innovation and quality are paramount. - Collaborate closely with team leads, product owners, business analysts, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and architectural standards
- Write comprehensive solution designs for new features and participate in code reviews with technical leads
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and system reliability
- Participate in client workshops and requirements analysis sessions to understand business needs
- Optimize and improve existing functionalities to enhance performance and user experience
- Take ownership of assigned projects and demonstrate accountability for your area of expertise
- Work effectively within an agile framework, utilizing ticketing platforms and collaborative tools
- Document code and technical solutions clearly for team knowledge sharing
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge with team members
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in software development or a related engineering role
- Strong programming knowledge with proficiency in one or more languages (Java, Python, C++, or similar)
- Solid understanding of database technologies and SQL
- Experience with version control systems (Git or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-documented code and design thoughtful solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to complex technical challenges
- Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in team settings
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality assurance and testing practices
It would be a real bonus if you have
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience in the financial services industry or treasury domain
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards such as FIX protocol, SWIFT MT, or ISO 20022
- Familiarity with specialized platforms or tools relevant to your domain
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Proficiency in additional programming languages or frameworks
- Multilingual capabilities (additional languages are a plus)
- Track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within scope
