Looking for a Flexible Veterinary Role That Works Around You?
Tullamore Pet Hospital is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Practitioner to join our friendly and experienced team on a part-time basis.
This opportunity would suit a veterinary surgeon looking for a role that offers genuine flexibility, whether you're balancing family commitments, pursuing further study, exploring portfolio career options, or simply seeking a better work-life balance. We're open to discussing working patterns and are happy to shape the role around the right candidate, with availability of approximately 16-20 hours per week, typically across two days.
We're looking for a vet with experience in first opinion small animal practice who is confident managing routine consultations, medical cases and routine surgery. In return, you'll join a supportive team where clinical standards are high, colleagues work collaboratively, and individual interests are encouraged and invested in.
A Role with Variety, Support and Clinical Freedom
At Tullamore Pet Hospital, you'll enjoy a varied caseload spanning consultations, diagnostics, medicine and surgery within a modern, well-equipped hospital environment.
We're strong believers in clinical freedom and encourage our vets to approach cases in the way they feel is best for their patients. You'll have the autonomy to manage cases confidently while benefiting from the support of experienced colleagues who are always happy to discuss cases and share knowledge.
Whether you enjoy all aspects of general practice or have developed a particular clinical interest, we'd love to hear about it. We actively support professional development and are committed to helping our team explore areas of interest through CPD, further qualifications and clinical mentoring.
Join a Progressive, Well-Established Hospital
Tullamore Pet Hospital is a purpose-built small animal hospital with a longstanding reputation for providing excellent patient and client care.
You'll be joining a collaborative team of veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and support colleagues who are passionate about what they do and genuinely enjoy working together. We see a broad and interesting caseload and benefit from excellent facilities including digital imaging, in-house laboratory equipment and dedicated surgical facilities.
Several members of our team hold additional qualifications, creating an environment where learning, development and clinical discussion are part of everyday practice.
Who We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from VCI-registered Veterinary Practitioners with previous experience in first opinion small animal practice.
You'll be comfortable managing consultations and routine cases independently while enjoying the support of a collaborative team environment. Whether you're an experienced GP vet seeking greater flexibility or a clinician looking for a role that allows you to continue developing your interests, we'd be delighted to have a conversation.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to delivering excellent patient care and building lasting client relationships.
