About the Role
We're looking for a People Operations Manager to help keep Stuut running smoothly as we scale.
This is a hands-on, operational role focused on employee onboarding, HR administration, people systems, and workplace experience. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day People Operations, making sure employees have what they need and that our internal processes run efficiently.
You'll work closely with Finance, Recruiting, and leadership, with the opportunity to take on broader People responsibilities as the company grows.
What You'll Own
People Operations & Administration
Manage day-to-day HR administration through Rippling, including employee records, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee changes.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth experience from offer acceptance through departure.
Maintain employee documentation, internal policies, and HR workflows.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, policies, and People processes.
Coordinate with Finance, Recruiting, and external partners on operational HR needs.
Workplace & Employee Experience
Help manage day-to-day operations and employee experience at our NYC office.
Coordinate employee events, team gatherings, and company activities.
Support internal communications, employee engagement, and culture initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve how we operate and make the employee experience better.
What We're Looking For
3–6+ years of experience in People Operations, HR administration, or a related role, ideally at a fast-growing startup.
Experience with HRIS platforms, preferably Rippling.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills, discretion, and a genuine interest in helping employees.
Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and handle both routine administrative work and unexpected challenges.
Based in NYC and excited to work in person with the team.
Who You Are
You are an owner. You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
You are organized and detail-oriented, but you do not confuse process with progress.
You are comfortable in ambiguity and can turn messy problems into clear next steps.
You have high standards and care about building a company where excellent people can do the best work of their careers.
You communicate directly, thoughtfully, and with good judgment.
You are excited by AI and curious about how People teams can use AI to operate at a higher level.
You want to be close to the company-building work, not tucked away in a back-office function.
You are low ego, high intensity, and energized by working with ambitious teammates.
