Grassroots Analytics

Washington

Nonprofits Digital Strategist.

$70K–80K/YR

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) is a political tech company dedicated to breaking down barriers in fundraising for progressive campaigns and causes. To facilitate that work, GA maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active, left-leaning American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. Our overall mission is to use that data to amplify forward-thinking voices, causes, and people.

On GA’s Digital Team, our team of digital experts works to democratize fundraising and set new standards for innovation. We can – and do – try something new every day, thanks to the power and scale of our database.

We’re seeking a Nonprofits Digital Strategist with the flexibility, creativity, and confidence of nonprofits experience to deliver for both peer to peer clients and full-service programs in our Digital Lab. This is a position designed for growth, as the Strategist develops a balance of independent leadership and 360º project management with a team of collaborators.

You’ll have the chance to work with a wide variety of nonprofit accounts, ranging from small, local organizations, all the way to major international organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy and execution for nonprofit clients, across channels such as text, email, digital ads, and new digital channels
  • Proactively recommend content ideas, particularly around unique deadlines and hooks for clients to maximize dollars raised and donors acquired
  • Collaborate with the nonprofits team on strategy to get clients the best returns possible, and proactively come up with recommendations to maximize dollars raised and donors acquired
  • Write compelling digital fundraising content in accordance with best practices
  • Develop expertise in quality assurance for all outgoing client content across full-service and peer to peer
  • Effectively delegate, collaborate, and communicate to balance mix of full-service and peer to peer responsibilities
  • Maintain robust testing and tracking procedures to challenge assumptions and measure success
  • Make innovative use of GA’s extensive database to grow lists and optimize fundraising for nonprofit clients
  • Lead client communication for assigned full-service clients, building productive, proactive, informative rapport with all client contacts
  • Produce, segment, and send digital fundraising content across platforms, learning use cases for each
  • Establish reporting and troubleshooting processes

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to a nonprofit digital fundraising program
    • Experience may come from a nonprofit or nonprofit-focused digital firm
  • Strong writing skills within a range of styles and formats, to include digital fundraising
  • Experience working with CRMs, SMS platforms, and donation platforms
  • Facility with data analysis, revenue and ROI tracking, and projections
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Openness to feedback, willingness to be wrong, and flexibility to pivot when necessary
  • Passion for and belief in the power of digital fundraising to influence our future
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 plus benefits, with the possibility of signing and performance bonuses. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our office in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Candidates must be willing to work in-office.

We offer 33 days of PTO + two days for every year with GA; 11 federal holidays; and full office closure between Christmas and New Years. Additional benefits include healthcare, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; 401K with employer match; profit sharing; and more.

Applicants should provide a resume and a one-page cover letter that describes the unique value they are prepared to bring to this role.
