See Your Work in a New Light

At LUX Infusion, we’re reimagining infusion care as something more human, more supportive, and more connected. Continuity of care matters — and the work that happens between prescriptions and refills plays a critical role in helping patients stay confident, informed, and on therapy.

We’re looking for a Patient Support Specialist who wants their work to mean something — someone who brings care, accountability, and purpose to patient outreach, refill coordination, and pharmacy support.

Why This Role Matters

The Patient Support Specialist helps ensure patients receiving specialty or infusion therapies experience smooth, uninterrupted care. By coordinating refills, documentation, and authorizations, this role supports patients while enabling pharmacists and clinicians to focus on safe, effective treatment delivery.

In this role, you’ll contribute to work that:

  • Helps patients feel supported and prepared throughout ongoing therapy
  • Strengthens communication between patients, providers, and pharmacy teams
  • Supports compliance with pharmacy, payer, and regulatory requirements
  • Advances a patient‑first, clinician‑led care model focused on outcomes

Every refill coordinated and every question answered helps maintain trust and continuity.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Support ongoing patient care by coordinating prescription refill outreach and follow‑up
  • Gather required documentation from patients and provider offices to support therapy continuation
  • Submit insurance re‑authorizations and prior authorizations as needed
  • Communicate professionally with patients and providers while complying with all state pharmacy regulations and HIPAA requirements
  • Ensure clinical compliance by asking required screening questions and escalating concerns appropriately to a pharmacist
  • Serve as a point of contact for provider offices and help maintain strong referral relationships
  • Collaborate with pharmacy operations teams to support daily workflow needs
  • Assist with processing e‑scripts, faxes, refills, labels, and delivery coordination as permitted under pharmacist supervision
  • Maintain accurate patient, insurance, and referral documentation in designated systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient support processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service

What We’re Looking For

You may be a great fit if you bring:

  • A strong customer‑service mindset grounded in empathy and professionalism
  • Clear, calm communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners
  • Comfort working in structured, regulated healthcare environments
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, team‑oriented approach to patient support

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or certification in good standing (or commitment to obtain required registration within 60 days, as permitted by state law)
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers
  • Experience with data entry, technology navigation, and basic medical terminology
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Technician certification (if not required by state Board of Pharmacy)
  • One (1) or more years of experience in specialty pharmacy
  • Experience communicating with healthcare practices, inpatient or outpatient facilities, skilled nursing, or home care settings

You don’t need to check every box — we care just as much about how you support patients as your experience.

Why LUX Infusion

At LUX Infusion, we believe care deserves more light — more warmth, more clarity, and more connection.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Purpose‑driven work with meaningful patient impact
  • A patient‑first, clinician‑led culture
  • Supportive pharmacy and operations teams
  • Clear expectations and collaborative workflows
  • Opportunities to grow within specialty and infusion pharmacy services

Come help support patients through every refill and every step of care — and see what’s possible when care comes first.
